A Review: GRIMM TALES OF TERROR PRESENTS THE BRIDGEWATER TRIANGLE #1

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of GRIMM TALES OF TERROR PRESENTS THE BRIDGEWATER TRIANGLE #1 from Zenescope Entertainment. The issue is written by Brian Studler, from a story by Joe Brusha, Ralph Tedesco, Dave Franchini and Brian Studler; with art by Deivis Goetten, colors by Maxflan Araujo, and lettering by Fabio Amelia.

There are many legends, myths, and mysteries about the Bridgewater Triangle. At the heart of this triangle lies the Hockomock Swamp. Danny is heading there to do some field research for a class he is taking. His friends are there…for other reasons. The group camp in the swamp and Danny continues to tell stories involving the mysterious and rather scary location. That night, Jeff and Terry go off to explore their surroundings (and each other). What they discover they might not live long enough to tell the others…

Zenescope’s TALES OF TERROR line have been consistently high quality stories that scare and terrify readers for a while now. THE BRIDGEWATER TRIANGLE is a nice addition to the lineup. Brian Studler provides a nice script that builds up the macabre legends and sets up our characters (or victims) pretty well. So it’s just a matter of watching all hell break loose for the next two books. I really like the look of this book; Goetten, Araujo, and Amelia provide some great eerie visuals that add to the script. This could be a fun, horrifying miniseries that will get you in the Halloween spirit. Check it out.
