A Review: MARVEL ACTION: SPIDER-MAN #4

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of MARVEL ACTION: SPIDER-MAN #4 from IDW Publishing. The story is written by Erik Burnham; with art by Christopher Jones, colors by Zac Atkinson, and lettering by Shawn Lee.

It’s a special day at Midtown High as J. Jonah Jameson is there to speak to the assembly. His speech is interrupted by The Looter (?) who seeks revenge for what he perceives as a great injustice from The Daily Bugle. Spidey arrives and saves the day and takes down the <ahem> bad guy. Jameson, angered at being made to look foolish during the melee, decides to hire someone to take down our friendly neighborhood hero…the world’s greatest hunter.

IDW’s MARVEL ACTION imprint was been so good; such a great blend of action, adventure, drama, and humor. The books are the top all ages lines out there, with SPIDER-MAN being the best of the best. Writer Erik Burnham and artist Christopher Jones takes over with this issue, and there is zero drop-off. Needless to say, a great read for Spider-man fans of any age. Check it out.
