The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of WYTCHES
#1 from Image Comics. The story is written by Scott Snyder, illustrated by Jock,
with colors by Matt Hollingsworth, and letters by David Brothers.
The Rooks have moved to a new town to start things over.
Daughter Sailor is concerned that her new classmates may have learned the
reason why they had to move. Unfortunately, at least one person knows. But that
may be the least of Sailor’s concerns as there is someone (or something) in the
woods that is interested in her and her family…
Its magic (no pun intended) when Scott Snyder and Jock
team up on a book and this is no different. While we know the reason why the
family had to move, there’s still a ton to be explained...especially after what
happens at the end of the issue. This book has it all: great story and
beautiful art and it gets you in the Halloween mood. I can’t wait to get my
hands on the next issue.
