A Review: CHAOS!: BAD KITTY ONE SHOT

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of CHAOS!: BAD KITTY ONE SHOT from Dynamite  Comics. The story is written by Jay Spence, illustrated by Carlos Rafael, with colors by Marcelo Pinto, and letters by Marshall Dillon.

Katherine is a detective for the New Orleans Police Department. She also has another persona that hasn’t been out since childhood. An accident happens during a case which “frees” Catherine’s other persona…Kitty. But she’s not all that nice. Will Kitty’s anger management issues and taste for violence get Katherine in way over her head?

BAD KITTY is the latest character from Chaos Comics to be brought back by Dynamite Entertainment. I’m not familiar with Bad Kitty, but I enjoyed what I read. The concept is not unfamiliar, yet Spence an interesting story and Katherine/Kitty is an intriguing character. A nice touch of certain sequences where Kitty was in control, but you see Katherine in reflective surfaces fighting to gain control. Would be interested in seeing more of this character(s).

CHAOS!: BAD KITTY ONE SHOT is in stores now, or available for ordering at www.dynamite.com.
