A Review: ARMOR HUNTERS: AFTERMATH #1

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of ARMOR HUNTERS #4 from Valiant Comics. The story is written by Robert Venditti, illustrated by CAFU, with colors by Brian Reber, and letters by Dave Sharpe.

The battle is over and the Armor Hunters have been defeated. It’s a time to recover, repair, and reflect on recent events. M.E.R.O. has been rechristened G.A.T.E. (Global Agency for Threat Excision). Former Hunter Gin-Gr wants to repay for her actions during the war and would like to make Earth her new home. Meanwhile, Aric (X-O Manowar) addresses the citizens of the world make them aware that there are beings that will protect them from future threats. They are called UNITY.

A very nice epilogue to what was an outstanding comic event. Aric has always been a leader and protector of his people. With this event he has become Earth’s protector and servant. If there was any doubt of which Valiant’s flagship character was, it should be perfectly clear now. Bravo to Robert Venditti for crafting a wonderful, action-packed story and I can’t wait to see where things go from here.
