A Review: OUR SUPER MOM #3

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of the webcomic turned digital comic OUR SUPER MOM #3. The story is by Scott Allan Bachmann, with art by Scott DM Simmons.

Mark and Gail’s powers continue to develop and it’s causing havoc in the Ramiro house. Liza has become ill for the first time in a long time and it’s affecting her powers. She decides to find the ex-girlfriend of the original Paragon to find out if this has happened to him. What she learns totally throws her for a loop. Meanwhile, The Desert Fox is investigating a recent string of auto burglaries, but the new hero may have bitten off more than she can chew.

What strikes me the most about this comic is its focus. Instead of being a story of a superhero family, it’s a story of a family with happens to have super powers. It’s really refreshing to read. The Ramiro’s are dealing with all the pressures that a young family deals with, but they have some extraordinary ones as well. The mysterious background of the Paragon powers and lineage just adds to my curiosity and enjoyment. This is one to check out!
