A Review: INDESTRUCTIBLE #1

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of INDESTRUCTIBLE #1 from IDW Publishing. Jeff Kline writes, Javi Garron and Salvi Garcia draws, and Alejandro Sanchez colors.

Greg has a pretty normal life. Crazy family, crazy roommate, and a date with an “actress” tonight. The date didn’t go all that well, and the roommate sends him to rent a game at midnight. The new girl there is kinda cute, but getting shot in the robbery attempt really messes up his day. The bullet was blocked, but the cops don’t know that; all they saw was Greg get up and walk away. So now they think he’s a superhero…

This is a fun little twist on a superhero story. Greg is a pretty typical dopey victim character, but he’s likable. The mistaken identity premise is a new one on me, and has some pretty interesting comedy potential. And this book has plenty of leads planted for the opening arc. Overall it’s a nice first issue.

Greg’s boring normal life is about to get really weird, and probably really dangerous. It should be good fun to follow along with him. Check this one out.
