A Review: HIT LIST #1

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of HIT LIST #1 from Zenescope Entertainment. Ralph Tedesco writes and Sami Kivela draws.

Aaron is starting to get tired of cleaning up Rian’s messes. Cody is trying to get her under control, but she’s not getting much help from the rest of the team. And then Aaron’s next job has, oh, let’s call them “complications.” Overall it’s a rough day in the war against the Brown House Bishops.

I really like how we’re just dropped into the middle of this conflict. It takes a bit to get a handle on the names (especially since they’re using aliases on the phone), but about halfway into it they start to click. I’m also impressed at how organized and well equipped they are, but that’s modern gang warfare for you. The book has some interesting characters set up now, and these guys know how to weave a story.

If you’re into lots of action coupled with dense storytelling, this is a great choice for you. Oh, and dead criminals is a selling point too. Good, bloody fun.

HIT LIST #1 is available now at your LCS and online at zenescope.com.
