A Review: DANGER GIRL: THE CHASE #1

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of DANGER GIRL: THE CHASE #1 from IDW Publishing. The story is by Andy Hartnell, art by Harvey Tolibao, colors by Romulo Fajardo, and lettering by Neil Uyetake.

Team DANGER GIRL is in Shanghai, China following a mysterious sword carrying woman with a special briefcase. The mission: grab the case during an exchange with a mysterious party. That becomes problematic as they lose their target in a parade procession. The girls find the woman, but she knows they are there as well and the battle begins. Things get interesting when the case is damaged during the fight. Just what is inside that briefcase?

As usual, Andy Hartnell writes a fun script full of action and adventure with a surprise or two. Harvey Tolibao’s art is great; the ladies are beautiful, sexy and can kick butt with the best of them. It’s a mystery to me while Abby and the girls have not made up to the big screen. I think it would be a great film franchise for some studio.

DANGER GIRL: THE CHASE #1 is in stores now or available for ordering at www.idwpublishing.com.
