A Review: TRANSFORMERS/GHOSTBUSTERS #1

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of TRANSFORMERS/GHOSTBUSTERS #1 from IDW Publishing. The story is written by Erik Burnham; with art by Dan Schoening, colors by Luis Antonio Delgado, and lettering by Tom B. Long.

The Autobots, tiring of the constant war with the Decepticons, decide to leave Cybertron. On their travels, they encountered a signal of Cybertronian signal on a planet called…Earth. Ectronymous Diamatron is sent ahead to scout and locate the signal. Upon arriving he takes on the form of a familiar vehicle, and soon meets the famous Ghostbusters. But what has happened Decepticons on Cybertron? They have been introduced to…The Traveler. Things get dicey from there.

We seem to be in a sea of unusual crossovers that shouldn’t work, but do. This book is the former of the two. This could be a really fun series if this issue is any indication of what is ahead. Burnham and Schoening, who are no strangers to the Ghostbusters universe, do an excellent job on bringing the Autobots into this world. This book is a definite must for a fan of either (or both) franchises. Get it today!
