A Review: THE BLUE BARON BINGE BOOK #2

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of THE BLUE BARON #2 BINGE BOOK from Sitcomics. The story is written by Darin Henry; with pencils by Ron Frenz, inks by Sal Buscema, colors by Glenn Whitmore, and lettering by Marshall Dillon.

Eleven year old Ernie Rodriguez is trying to deal with being in the body of Cedric Carson, known to the world as the superhero Blue Baron. Not only is he having a difficult time trying to run a corporation, plus battling villains and suspicions of his “changed “personality. Things get worse as a former employee plans revenge on Cedric's company for his condition. Meanwhile, Cedric (as Eric) is dealing with being not only a kid again, but also being bullied. Life would be SO much better if they were back in their own bodies, but how can they make it happen? And what other threats await our heroes?

THE BLUE BARON reminds me of classic Marvel tales; it helps when you have legends Ron Frenz and Sal Buscema providing the art. Darin Henry provides an entertaining script that is a perfect mix of humor, action, and drama. I should mention that the issue also includes two comic strips called SENOR UVA; written by Athena and Dashiell, with art by Athena, Joe Rubinstein, Theo Lee, colors by Glenn Whitmore, and lettering by Marshall Dillion. All in all a fun book and at 64 pages for $3.99 it’s a steal! Check it out.

THE BLUE BARON #2 BINGE BOOK are not at your local store, but you can locate a copy by going to www.sitcomics.net. I’d also recommend you ask your shop to start carrying these titles.
