A Review: A& A: THE ADVENTURES OF ARCHER & ARMSTRONG #5

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of A& A: THE ADVENTURES OF ARCHER & ARMSTRONG #5 from Valiant Entertainment. The story is by Rafer Roberts, with pencils by Mike Norton, colors by Allen Passalaqua, and letters by Dave Sharpe.

While Armstrong takes off to gather information regarding his wife’s location, Archer decides to fly to L.A. and go on a date with Faith. Little do they know that their dinner and watching THE PRINCESS BRIDE is about to be interrupted by forces who wants to find Armstrong. Will their first date end in catastrophe, or will our heroes (and dare I say it...love) conquer all?

I’ve been waiting for this issue since it was first announced, and it was well worth the wait. Rafer Roberts once again delivers a top notch script fill with humor, action and nice moments that should bring a tear to your eye (you hopeless romantic you). I really hope that Obadiah and Faith’s relationship continue to develop, because they are great characters that you can’t help to root for. This issue is a great entry point for readers of the FAITH miniseries, but has never checked out an issue of ARCHER & ARMSTRONG. Here’s to hoping for a second date.
