A Review: GEORGE PÉREZ’S SIRENS #1

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of GEORGE PÉREZ’S SIRENS #1 from BOOM! Studios. George Pérez writes and draws, and Leonardo Paciarotti colors.

An entire species is about to be wiped out completely. In order to try to save it, the Professor must bring back the Sirens. But the Sirens are scattered throughout Earth history, and recalling them won’t be easy (especially in the middle of a space battle). And not only do a couple of the Sirens themselves need saving, they’ll all need saving from an old enemy in the present.

Talk about a wide-open story – this one flashes back (and forward) to a bunch of different periods of human history. And each Siren is a badass in her own time. There also seems to be a history to the team, something we can look forward to learning more about. And as for the art, the legend has certainly not lost his touch – the details and the expressions are just amazing.

An exciting story of good vs evil in a science fiction setting with larger-than-life characters? Count me in.

GEORGE PÉREZ’S SIRENS #1 is available now at your FLCS or at boom-studios.com.
