A Review: ANGEL & FAITH #16

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of ANGEL & FAITH #16 from Dark Horse Comics. The story is by Christos Gage with art by Rebekah Isaacs and colors are Dan Jackson.

Angel and Faith are continuing their quest to resurrect Giles. They find the Crown of Coils, which helps in biological regeneration. They get back home and dig up Giles’ coffin and are surprised to find that it’s missing! The Slayers show up to Faith’s house hoping that Angel would try to resurrect Marianne who was killed by Drusilla. Nadira would rather kill Angel for the death of the other slayers, but knows she needs his help. Angel says the process won’t work on Marianne because, unlike Giles, she has never been involved with magic. The slayers leave telling Faith they want nothing to do with her ever again. The girls have a backup plan, but who is willing to help them bring their fallen comrade back to life?

I’ve always thought that Angel and Faith would make a good team. They can relate to each other since they both have dark points in their pasts. I’m a fan of Christos Gage’s writing (Avenger’s Academy). He has a good grasp of the characters and tells a cool story. Definitely curious to see how things go from here on after this issues’ reveal (no, I won’t spoil it).

ANGEL & FAITH #16 is in stores now and available at www.darkhorse.com.
