A Review: STAR TREK/GREEN LANTERN #6

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of STAR TREK/GREEN LANTERN #6 from IDW Publishing and DC Comics. The story is by Mike Johnson, with art by Angel Hernandez, colors by Mark Roberts, and letters by Andworld Design. The production design is by Neil Uyetake.

The fate of the universe is being decided on the planet OA, between Sinestro and his ally Khan (wearing a Red Lantern ring) and the one person wearing a powered Green Lantern ring…James T. Kirk. It’s not long before Hal Jordan and the others re-energize their rings and join the fight. Meanwhile the Enterprise is being attacked by the Klingons and things don’t look good. Can our heroes snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, or will fear and hate rule the galaxy?

Mike Johnson has done it again. If you have checked out my prior reviews of his handling of Star Trek, you know how impressed I’ve been by his handling of the Enterprise crew. Well, he did just as good of job with the DC characters. Angel Hernandez’s art has been outstanding. Aided with Mark Roberts and Andworld Design, the look of the series is similar to a blockbuster movie only in comic book form. Overall a fun, action packed series now over…but enough threads for a possible third outing. I can’t wait. Check it out!
