A Review: SCARLETT COUTURE #1

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of SCARLETT COUTURE #1 from Titan Comics. Des Taylor creates, writes and draws.

Models are disappearing, and the fashion house they work for, Chase Couture, is cooperating with the authorities to find them quickly. Chase’s head of security, Scarlett, pursues a lead into a warehouse, and combat ensues. She rescues one of the models, but then the bad guys leave her a nasty surprise. They’re not happy about her interfering, but they still have an ace up their sleeve.

Scarlett, of course, has a big secret: she’s a spy. The fashion house is a cover for her team, which is backed by the CIA. She’s highly trained in martial arts, and she’s got a ton of history (thanks to her narration). There’s also a secret organization plotting against the government. And all of this makes for a good spy thriller. The art is very pretty, too; the fight scenes are especially well done.

Who doesn’t love a good spy story? Get on board with this one now – it might just surprise you.
