The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of EPIC
#3 from ComixTribe Comics. The story is written by Tyler James, with art by
Fico Ossio. EPIC was created by Tyler James, Matt Zolman and Fico Ossio.
Eric may have figured out how to eliminate his losing of
his powers…get a girlfriend. So he asks Megan Kiley to the Homecoming dance.
But before that happens, he must deal with Mitch Anderson who has steroid into
a monster (literally)! Meanwhile, Sasha has REAL problems as she can’t come up
with the $40,000 to book Tri$ha as the Homecoming entertainment. Will this
development affect her becoming Homecoming Queen (nah, this is Sasha…right)?
EPIC harkens back to the early days of Marvel; THE
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN in particular. James, Zolman and Ossio have created a fresh
and modern spin on the classic teenage super-hero that is a joy to read. Ossio’s
art is beautiful; it should be viewed by anyone who enjoys comics. ComixTribe
is a much underrated publisher that is putting out some quality stories. Do
yourself a favor and check their books out, NOW.
