A Review: ZOMBIES VS ROBOTS #1

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of ZOMBIES VS ROBOTS #1 from IDW Publishing. Chris Ryall writes, and Anthony Diecidue draws and colors.

It’s been a year since the robots nuked the world. And now a scout has been sent down to the surface to learn the fate of the zombies. The scout finds the portal that started it all, and it’s still open. But there are also a few bots still in operation down there. And the cryo units on the space station have been activated.

ZvR fans can rejoice – this is an ongoing series. And given some of the amazing stuff that has come out of this property, I’m looking forward to new stories with this title. This book has already started planting the seeds of future stories, too. The art is cool in that it shows a broad range of style, scope and color which adds to the story in many ways. The book also includes a secondary story by Steve Niles and Jay Mayerik (which has almost no dialogue, giving it a chilling feeling).

I for one am thrilled to see this property back in action. Get in on the ground floor with this one.

ZOMBIES VS ROBOTS #1 is available now at your FLCS or at idwpublishing.com.
