A Review: NAILBITER #5

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of NAILBITER #5 from Image Comics. The story is by Joshua Williamson, illustrated by Mike Henderson, colors by Adam Guzowski, and letters & book design by John J. Hill.

Agent Carroll has been found and taken to the hospital. The FBI formally takes charge of the case due to of Carroll’s injuries. Finch and Crane decide to continue on their own as the investigation leads them to the Murder Store. They arrive in time to see that someone us a step ahead of them. How does Warren, A.K.A. “Nailbiter,” fit in to recent events? And what must be going through Crane’s mind as she learns a shocking bit of news regarding Finch?

With all the great titles Image Comics puts out, some will unfortunately get overlooked. I believe NAILBITER is one of them.  This is a top notch mystery filled with complex characters; I’m not sure where things go from here. More questions pop up just as soon as the previous ones have been answered, and that’s a good thing. I’m really starting to wonder about Finch – is he more than what Williamson has let us on? It’s not too late to jump on board this nice little thriller!

NAILBITER #5 is in stores now, or available for ordering at www.imagecomics.com.
