A Review: THE LONE RANGER #24

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of THE LONE RANGER #24 from Dynamite Entertainment. The story is by Ande Parks, with art by Esteve Polls, colors by Marc Rueda, and lettering by Simon Bowland.

The Lone Ranger and Tonto board a moving train to stop the latest in a series of robberies. This time the gang’s prize is two hundred Winchester Yellow Boy rifles. While The Ranger deals with the rest of the men and protect the passengers from harm, Tonto goes after a leader…who is an Indian. What is the true purpose of these robberies? Will this mysterious Indian convince Tonto to abandon the masked man’s crusade and join his cause?

Once again, top notch work by Parks, Polls, Rueda, and Bowland. Things aren’t always black and white, except our heroes resolve to uphold law and order in the West. I want to also tip my cap to cover artist Francesco Francavilla for another awesome cover. Sad to think this series is over with the next issue, but I bet it won’t be too long that The Lone Ranger and Tonto will ride again.

THE LONE RANGER #24 is in stores now, or available for ordering at www.dynamite.com.
