A Review:SAVAGE DRAGON #193

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of SAVAGE DRAGON #193 from Image Comics. The story and art is by Erik Larsen, with colors by Nikos Koutsis, and lettering by Chris Eliopoulos.

It’s a brand new day for Malcom Dragon. He has a new place to live, attending a new school, and taking his father’s place. With the stress of all his classmates wanting to know all about him, Malcom needs something to beat up. So it’s a good thing that a creature named Tantrum has shown up causing problems. It appears that things aren’t getting any easier for our hero!

This series reminds me of the old days of comics: epic fights, a little drama, and a lot of fun. With Malcom now being the focus of the book, there’s freshness to series without it being a major event or a death of a major character (although Dragon without powers and being in jail isn’t insignificant). There’s a very touching scene at the end with Malcom visiting Dragon. If you’re interested in checking this book out, now is the time to jump on!

SAVAGE DRAGON #193 is in stores now, or available for ordering at www.Imagecomics.com.
