A Review: BLACK TIGER: LEGACY OF FURY #2

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of BLACK TIGER: LEGACY OF FURY #2 from Beyond Times Comics. The story is by John Hervey II, with pencils by Rod Pereira, inks by Arne Starr, colors by Robert Hawkins, and lettering by E.T. Dollman.

Eric Fong is starting his time as the new Black Tiger, but may have bitten off more than he can chew. There are enemies everywhere, including a police officer who won’t turn a blind eye to the Tiger’s actions. Meanwhile, Eric’s sister Jenn learns of their father’s secret and just how little she really knew him…

John Hervey’s script, while not original, is really well crafted. The style of Eric Fong’s inner monologue was enjoyable, and I like the characters. I’m not all that familiar with Rod Pereira’s work, but it looks great. Arne Starr’s inks and Robert Hawkins’ colors are very well done. I definitely like the feel of this book. BLACK TIGER has the potential to be a real good series.
