A Review: DANGER GIRL: TRINITY #1

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of DANGER GIRL: TRINITY #1 from Dynamite Entertainment. The story is by Andy Hartnell, art by John Royle, Havey Tolibao, and Stephen Molnar, inks by Phillip Moy, colors by Romulo Fajardo, and lettering by Neil Uyetake.

Abbey Chase is caught trying to steal a necklace that was on a freighter full of stolen items. She tries to escape, destroying the freighter in the process. However, she gets rescued…or is she? Sydney is called in to locate Abbey and is promptly attacked by a would-be assassin. Meanwhile, Sonya is in the Congo hunting down the thief Dallas, but she too is being hunted. Will she be able to escape? And who is behind the attacks on the ladies?

I’ve been enjoying the adventures of Abbey and the girls. The stories are full of fun and action. This one is no exception, but it shouldn’t be a surprise since DANGER GIRL co-creator Hartnell is writing the story. Royle, Tolibao, and Molnar do a great job of channeling J. Scott Campbell’s style, yet  make it their own.

DANGER GIRL: TRINITY #1 is in stores now or available at www.idwpublishing.com.
