A Review: EARTHA KITT: FEMME FATALE

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of EARTHA KITT: FEMME FATALE from Bluewater Comics. The story is by Marc Shapiro, with art and colors by Felipe Montecinos, inks by Ricardo Ayala and lettering by Warren Montgomery.

Eartha Kitt is in Honolulu having some downtime and riding some waves when a huge lizard that is lost comes out of the ocean. Her attempts to stop the creature from destroying the beach and killing everybody fail. She decides to do a feline mind meld with the creature. After finding out why the monster is there, she must protect it from the attacks of the U.S. military with the help of some friends. That’s when things REALLY get interesting. Will Eartha survive this and resume her little rest and relaxation time?

This one-shot is a spin-off from series THE MISADVENTURES OF ADAM WEST. The book is a cute little all-ages book that features a nice story with a little humor. The art is very much Saturday morning cartoonish and I mean that in a good way. Overall the book works and shows a strong female character.
