A Review: CHARISMAGIC: THE DEATH PRINCESS #1

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of CHARISMAGIC: THE DEATH PRINCESS #1 from Aspen Comics. Vince Hernandez writes, and Emilio Lopez draws.

Kon has a problem. Her name is Orlana, and she rules the world. She is powerful, beautiful, and just about as evil as they come. Kon ran away in his first confrontation with her, betraying a friend in the process. Now he’s back, and he’s not planning to run away again. This time he’s assembling a team that will bring down her reign of terror.

High fantasy, anyone? We’ve got a classic “build a team of high-powered adventurers to save the world” quest here, and it looks really cool. We get introduced to quite a disparate bunch of people, and the quibbling starts quickly—which is useful for character building, of course. Kon seems like he’s ready this time, and it will be fun to see if he’s right.

The fantasy genre is my Kryptonite; I just can’t get enough of this stuff. And this is a particularly pretty piece, both story-wise and artistically. Go get this one.

CHARISMAGIC: THE DEATH PRINCESS #1 is available now at your FLCS or by order from aspencomics.com.
