Welcome to the planet Aiden, home to a shining civilization
and the evil consortium trying to destroy it. This is the introduction to an
epic science fiction tale. Then we are treated to a brief conversation in a
library. And finally we revisit Nazi Germany for an adventure of a different
kind.
This book is a great example of what indie comics are
capable of doing in this day and age. The stories are very well written: the
sci-fi story is an exercise in fantastic worldbuilding, the library tale is an
almost poetic celebration of words, and the Nazi story is classic horror done
well. And the art for each of the stories is styled in just the right way for
the subject material – which is not that easy to do in black & white.
It’s a really well constructed compilation, a great showcase
for what these guys can do. Check them out – this is really good stuff.
