AND CAPES: WHAT TO EXPECT #2 from IDW Entertainment. The story is written and
drawn by Thomas Zahler.
Mark and Abby Spencer are expecting their first child.
Mark also happens to be The Crusader, the famous superhero and protector of
Deco City. An opportunity presents itself for Mark and Abby to babysit her
cousin Olivia’s baby girl. This gives them a chance to test their parenting
skills and make them more prepared for the upcoming arrival. Meanwhile,
Darkblade and Amazonia’s relationship moves to a new level as she moves in to
the Defender of the Night’s mansion.
Thom Zahler’s LOVE AND CAPES never fails to be an
enjoyable read. Love his art style and his scripts have the right combination
of humor, drama, and adventure. This reminds me how fun comics can be and takes
me back to the tales of the silver and bronze age. If you have never picked up
any of the series, do yourself a favor and grab this issue. You won’t regret
it.
