A Review: STAR WARS ADVENTURES #5

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of STAR WARS ADVENTURES #5 from IDW Publishing. The stories are written by Landry Q. Walker and Delilah S. Dawson; with art by Eric Jones and Arianna Floren, colors by Charlie Kirchoff, and lettering by Tom B. Long.

“The Trouble at Tibrin” Part 2- Princess Leia must find a way to get aboard the Star Destroyer Stormbringer to rescue Luke. Getting away will be even more difficult! Is their mission to Tibrin a failure before it truly begins?

“Tales from Wild Space: The Best Pet” – Emil has a new pet and thinks it’s the most adorable thing ever. He’s about to learn about the creatures called the Porg…

STAR WARS ADVENTURES is a great all-ages book that is a sure crowd-pleaser. Walker certainly captures all the qualities that make Leia a fan favorite. In just a few pages you see her resourcefulness, quick-thinking, bravery and loyalty as she risks it all to save Luke. Somehow it seems appropriate that this issue comes out on the anniversary of Carrie Fisher’s passing. The backup tale is a cute one that gives you a little more information about one of the new creatures featured in THE LAST JEDI. Both tales are fun reads and are highly recommended. Check it out.

STAR WARS ADVENTURES #5 is in stores now or available at www.idwpublishing.com.
