A Review: GRIMM TALES OF TERROR VOL 3 #2

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of GRIMM TALES OF TERROR VOL 3 #2 from Zenescope Entertainment. The story is written by Troy Brownfield (from Joe Brusha and Ralph Tedesco), illustrated by Babisu Kourtis, colors by Robby Bevard, and lettered by Fabio Amelia.

A group of sorority girls decide to take matters into their own hands when one of their own cheats with another’s boyfriend. A somewhat gruesome practical joke is planned, but it goes awry. As the body count starts to rise, the girls try to figure out who (or what) is responsible and how to stop the murders.

GRIMM TALES OF TERROR is in the lines of great horror comics such as Tales from the Crypt. I have enjoyed these books a lot, however there’s something amiss with this issue. While a good read, this was not one of their stronger stories. Maybe I expected something different than what I got. The visuals provided by Kourtis, Bevard, and Amelia are as great as you expect from a Zenescope title. Still it’s a comic worth checking out.

GRIMM TALES OF TERROR VOL 3 #2 is in stores now or available at www.zenescope.com.
