The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of CYANIDE
& HAPPINESS: PUNCHING ZOO from BOOM! Studios imprint BOOM! Box. The collection
is written and illustrated by Kris Wilson, Rob DenBleyker, Matt Melvin, and Dave
McElfatrick.
The guys from the webcomic CYANIDE & HAPPINESS have
put together a collection of their strips. The book also includes 30 bonus
strips and a choose-your’s-own-adventure tale, entitled “The Hot Date.”
I could not stop laughing at the strips and their twisted
look at life and relationships (among other things). They are so inappropriate
(some in very bad taste), but incredibly funny. “The Hot Date” was cool, but
kinda hard to follow in a PDF format. I’m sure reading a physical copy will
make it a more enjoyable experience. This is definitely not for the kiddies,
but anyone who needs a good laugh (like I do) will enjoy this collection.
