A Review: WONDERLAND #26

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of WONDERLAND #26 from Zenescope Entertainment. The story is by Erica J. Heflin, illustrated by Vincenzo Riccardi, colors by Ben Sawyer, and letters by Jim Campbell.

Calie has defeated the Queen of Spades and has become the ruler of Wonderland as the White Queen. She intends to bring peace to the land and revive its glory once more. After spending time in this reality with her daughter Lily, Calie has returned to Wonderland to begin her task. With the White Rabbit and Cheshire Cat in tow, she arrives at the village the Rabbit calls home. Calie soon hears that a young girl is missing and decides to go searching for her. Big mistake?

Erica J. Heflin takes over the writing reins with this issue, and it’s a strong beginning. It’s a brand new start for the book, and I’m excited to see where Heflin takes it from here. Calie is going into this new role with her eyes open, especially toward her new “allies.” Vincenzo Riccardi maintains the high quality art that Zenescope is known for. WONDERLAND seems to be in good hands, and is now is the time to jump on board.

WONDERLAND #26 is in stores now, or available for ordering at www.zenescope.com.
