A Review: STAR TREK: NEW VISIONS #1: THE MIRROR, CRACKED

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of STAR TREK: NEW VISIONS #1: THE MIRROR, CRACKED from IDW Publishing. The story and photomontage is by John Byrne, based on concepts by Jerome Bixby, and characters by Gene L. Coon.

The Enterprise encounters an anomaly with the transporters. The anomaly is in fact Mr. Spock from the alternate, Empire universe. He is here to stop the evil Captain Kirk from getting revenge for what happened when our heroes accidently were transported to his universe. The evil Kirk gains an ally in the Klingon captain Kor. Will the crew be able to stop this evil alliance and return everyone to where they belong?

THE MIRROR, CRACKED is a sequel to one of classic TREK fan’s favorite episode: MIRROR, MIRROR. John Byrne did a very impressive job with the photomanipulations to make this appear as a long lost episode of the classic series. It looks great! The story is as equally creative and is a worthy addition to the STAR TREK lore. If you are a fan of classic TREK, you need to check this out.

STAR TREK: NEW VISIONS #1: THE MIRROR, CRACKED is in stores now, or available for ordering at www.idwpublishing.com.
