A Review: HACKTIVIST #1

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of HACKTIVIST #1 from Archaia Black Label. Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly write, Marcus To draws, and Ian Herring colors.

Nate and Ed are unstoppable. They’re young and wealthy, they’re social media giants, and they’re geniuses. But they also have a secret – they use their resources and skills to “make a difference” in the world. Their network is growing, but now the CIA has found them out. And given Nate’s flair for the dramatic, it’s anyone’s guess how it will turn out.

The story concept is credited to Alyssa Milano, and it’s an interesting one. Nate and Ed are the perfect examples of the American Dream – rockstar billionaires with a conscience. Where it gets interesting is how this concept intersects with government involvement, and I think that will be the telling point in this story. It’s sure to be a fun ride however it goes.

This book has got solid writing and great art, and it’s got a wide-open story with great characters and lots of intrigue. It’s definitely worth checking out.

HACKTIVIST #1 is available now at your FLCS and online at archaia.com.
