A Review: BLOODSHOT AND H.A.R.D. CORPS #18

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of BLOODSHOT AND H.A.R.D. CORPS #18 from Valiant Entertainment. Christos Gage and Joshua Dysart write, and Bart Sears draws.

Bloodshot and the team are sent to Nigeria when one of Kozol’s deals goes wrong and turns up some interesting information. The Corps has to rescue Kozol from old enemy Simon Oreck and a team he’s put together. Some of the good guys are conflicted, as good guys often are, and they’re first contact with the bad guys separates the team. And that’s how we learn about Oreck’s goal.

This issue is the start of a new arc, so it’s a good place to jump aboard. And the team is starting to come together pretty well now; they’ve been around long enough to develop a bit as characters. Plus veteran artist Bart Sears has rejoined the Valiant fold, which is a nice bonus. The arc looks like it will be action-packed and informative, if this issue is any indicator.

If you’re into super-powered fun, this is the book for you. Great characters, story and art only make it better. Go get it – we’ll wait.

BLOODSHOT AND H.A.R.D. CORPS #18 is available now at your FLCS and online at valiantuniverse.com.
