A Review: THE SHADOW NOW #1

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of THE SHADOW NOW #1 from Dynamite Entertainment. David Liss writes and Colton Worley draws.

Lamont Cranston’s anti-aging techniques have worked beautifully, and now it’s the present day. His network stills exists, powered by the descendants of his allies. Now there have been a series of destructive attacks in the city, but the network can’t pin down the source. The Shadow hits the street himself for information, and gets more than he bargained for.

I have to admit that it’s kind of fun seeing Shiwan Khan again; he’s really just a great bad guy for the Shadow. He’s also a great excuse for some of the nastiness that the Shadow is having to deal with in this book. The potential is huge, both in the short term and the long. And the art is beautiful; no surprise there with Worley on the job.

I’m excited to see what the guys who resurrected the Spider will do with the Shadow. And Khan, for that matter. It should be a fun ride.

THE SHADOW NOW #1 is available now at your LCS and online at dynamite.com.
