A Review: GRIMM FAIRY TALES #90

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of GRIMM FAIRY TALES #90 from Zenescope Entertainment. The story is by Joe Brusha and Ralph Tedesco, written by Troy Brownfield, art by Ricardo Osnaya, colors by Hedwin Jimenez Zaldivar, and lettering by Jim Campbell.

Sela has been attacked by Rapunzel, who reveals just why she has an ax to grind with our heroine. Rita (the name Rapunzel has been going by) recounts what has happened to her since Sela saved her from her abusive and murderous boyfriend.  The creature Frost intervenes with an offer to the two of them: join him in leading the Highborns and rule the humans. Sela takes out Rita and rejects Frost’s offer. What comes next could possibly shatter her world.

Things aren't getting any easier for Sela, thanks to the great team of Brusha, Tedesco, and Brownfield. The art is top notch as usual. I like Osnaya's style and the color work of Jimenez Zaldivar. Zenescope is obviously not taking the foot off the gas pedal after this summer's UNLEASHED event. The publisher continues to put out some great comics and is worth checking out.

GRIMM FAIRY TALES #90 is in stores now, or available to order at www.Zenescope.com.
