A Review: BRAIN BOY #1

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of BRAIN BOY #1 from Dark Horse Comics. The script is by Fred Van Lente with pencils by R.B. Silva, inks by Rob Lean, colors by Ego, and lettering by Nate Piekos of Blambot.

Matt Price is a very powerful telepath, who was raised by and works for Albright Industries, his parents’ employer until their untimely deaths. Price is currently on loan to the United States Secret Service to bodyguard a president of a South American country during the opening of the United Nations General Assembly. Price already has reservations about this assignment when things start getting worse when he's asked to "spy" on the President. It really hits the fan when he encounters a group he can’t “read.”

Dark Horse has another winner as they bring the short-lived 60’s Dell comic series into the 21st century. Fred Van Lente (Archer & Armstrong, G.I. JOE) continues to knock it out of the park as he takes the interesting elements of the original series and runs with it. I definitely like the look of this book and have high hopes for this series.
