A Review: X: FIGHT OR FLIGHT #1

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of X: FIGHT OR FLIGHT #1 from Dark Horse Comics. Duane Swierczynski writes and Eric Nguyen draws.

Leigh is a journalist, or was until she got laid off. But the old security guard she befriended has shown her something she can’t forget. The cops have seen it, too, and they’re laying a trap for the X killer. But when Leigh, looking for clues, stumbles into the trap too, they may just have to work together to get out of it alive.

X is back, and he’s starting up right where he left off before. This is a fun character; he’s an old-school vigilante, taking out criminals in a way the cops never could. There’s an almost noir feel to this title, too, that gives it some flair. And there’s the mystery of X as well. It’s an appealing combination.

I may not like typing his name, but I do enjoy reading Swierczynski’s work. (A cheap joke, I know.) And this is another quality outing for him. Pick it up.

X: FIGHT OR FLIGHT #1 is available now at your FLCS or by order at darkhorse.com.
