A Review: THE RED TEN #3

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of THE RED TEN #3 from ComixTribe. The story is by Tyler James, with art by Cesar Feliciano, inks by Vic Moya, and colors by Guillermo Ucha. THE RED TEN was created by Tyler James and Cesar Feliciano.

The superhero team The Alliance along with Red’s former sidekick The Crimson Kid is at Oxymoron’s island fortress to have him pay for Red’s murder. Since arriving on the island, the team has suffered two more casualties: Androika, and Master Mage. The team also discovers that Oxymoron is dead! Crimson (as he calls himself now) wants to be sure, so he and the team decide to search the villain’s lair. They find a surveillance room and make a shocking discovery. It’s then that the Alliance loses another member.

This story is based off of Agatha Christie’s AND THEN THERE WERE NONE (or TEN LITTLE INDIANS), only with superheroes (specifically their version of the Justice League and Joker). Tyler James does a great job building a suspenseful mystery and you can feel the history the characters have with each other. Cesar Feliciano’s art is great and I love Guillermo Ucha's use of colors.
