A Review: GRIMM FAIRY TALES VALENTINE’S DAY SPECIAL 2013

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of GRIMM FAIRY TALES VALENTINE’S DAY SPECIAL 2013 from Zenescope Entertainment. The special is written by Joe Brusha, with pencils by Eduardo Garcia and Ricardo Osnaya, colors by Jeff Balke and Rohvel Yumul, and letters by Jim Campbell. The story is by Joe Brusha, Raven Gregory, and Ralph Tedesco.

Sela returns just in time to aid the current Guardian of the Nexus Samantha in dispatching a monster. In the process, Sela’s glasses are broken. The two return to the sanctum and Sela reveals to Samantha why she wears the glasses even though she doesn’t need them. Sela then tells her the tale of Genevieve and Gideon – a tale of what great lengths one can do in the name of love, even sacrificing themselves.

This was a really good story and very appropriate for Valentine's Day. Of course a little action doesn't hurt, does it? Nope. There's a little bit for everybody and no one will be disappointed. As usual the art is top notch and very beautiful. Once again the gang at Zenescope Entertainment delivers the goods.
