A Review: MIND MGMT #1

The Fellowship was fortunate enough to obtain a copy of MIND MGMT #1 from Dark Horse Comics. Matt Kindt writes and draws.

Meru is a writer who has become disconnected lately. She’s out of money, not really working, and hasn’t talked to her family or friends in months. But now she’s latched herself onto the mystery of the decade—what happened to the ‘amnesia flight’? She gets a lead which draws her into dangerous territory and introduces her to Bill, who persuades her to run.

The first issue of this new series hints at some interesting questions in the story Meru is pursuing. It also has some small pieces of ‘trivia’ which hint at a much bigger mystery—what is Mind Mgmt? And all of these are done in a way that really draws the reader in. This type of espionage story has been quite popular lately, and this particular story has a very strong beginning here.

I’m really looking forward to seeing how this goes. With high levels of danger and at least the possibility of supernatural influence, the potential here is practically limitless.

MIND MGMT #1 is available now at your FLCS or by order from darkhorse.com.
